Arcades, Rock-climbing, Rope courses, Oh My!
Family Friendly Fun!
When trying to book a vacation, I always look for things that are close to the hotel the kids can do to keep them entertained throughout the day. From playing at water parks, visiting zoos, hiking trails, spending days at the beach, exploring forts, I am always prepared with outings, so I don’t have to hear “I’m bored.” Staying at Margaritaville eliminated all possibilities of my kiddos being bored and gave them hours of entertainment. This resort catered to kids and adults alike, which made it the perfect place to vacation.
My family and I stayed here for four nights and only left the resort to put our toes in the sand at the nearby beach, mom and dad date night (the grandparents watched the kids), and when our vacation was over. The resort has an entire floor dedicated for fun! There is an arcade where the kids can play all day, along with a rock-climbing wall that looks like a volcano, two ropes courses (one for younger kids and one for older kids), and for during the summer months, a beautiful pool. We also enjoyed bowling on the miniature bowling lanes. They were perfect for my son because the bowling balls are not heavy, which made it easy for him to hit the pins. My daughter enjoyed the interactive floor games and chasing “bugs”.
I’m not sure if it was a conquer your fears trip or the fact he saw other kids doing it, but my son strapped on a harness and tried to take on the volcano rock wall (might also have been so he could tell his friends he climbed a volcano). He only made it about 3 feet up the wall, but I was still impressed he tried. He did, however, have a blast on the ropes course. The course had different types of bridges to cross, such as a balance beam, rope bridge, and wooden planks. The best part about the whole arcade/kids area, you can use your players’ card to play all the games and do the other activities. For adults and older kids, they have virtual reality rides if you are interested in those types of rides.
Since we went in the offseason, the pool was closed, but we were able to see what a fun area it would be during the summer months. There is a splash pad area for younger kids, flip flop lily pad to try and cross, a lazy river to float the day away, a water slide, and a swim-up bar for the adults. The pool area also has a great view overlooking the water, which, in the even times, gives beautiful views of the sunset. The best part, the resort is expanding to include an amusement park with a Farris wheel!
