Dogwood Hills Guest Farm
Dogwood Hills Guest House
Imagine going on vacation, staying at a spacious house, and feeling like being home the moment you walk through the door. The views of the mountains feel like you are miles away from any neighbor and fields as far as the eye can see for the kids to run around and enjoy the fresh air. This is the feeling you get when arriving at the Dogwood Hills Guest Farm. The guest house is like walking into grandma’s home, and the welcome of the Pepler family is as if you are visiting friends you haven’t seen in a while.
When we arrived at the guest house, Ruthie, the owner, greeted us to let us in the gate. We saw a beautiful tin roof house that felt as if someone should be drinking tea on the front porch waiting to greet us and a pie cooling on the window seal. When you first walk in, you are greeted with large open living rooms. It hosts two sofas, one a sleeper sofa, a coffee table, and the kitchen table. The area is the perfect place for family game night and sharing stories about your favorite part of the day. Although the house is 1,100 square feet of opennes, it feels more like a 2,000 square foot house.
To the left of the living room are two bedrooms The first bedroom has two twin beds and the other bedroom has a full-size bed. These two bedrooms share a four piece bathroom. This area is perfect for a family with kids. Both bedrooms are decorated with different themes. One is decorated with a patriotic theme, and the other feels like you are spending time in a meadow. The decor made each room unique and gave the allusion of being in different spaces, making the area seem more private.
To the right of the spacious living room is a sizeable full-size kitchen. It is ideal for cooking, enjoying some of the home-cooked meals from the farm, or pouring your morning cup of coffee before enjoying it while watching the sunrise on the large back deck with the picturesque panoramic views of the mountains.
Continue walking through the kitchen, and you will pass the laundry area and make your way into the master bedroom with a large private bathroom. The master bedroom is so large it could double as two bedrooms. This room is perfect if you are traveling with a young child or baby who might not be ready to sleep in a separate room. It is also ideal for a couple wanting a spa-like retreat feeling.
Our favorite part of the house was the back deck. It overlooks the side pasture where the cows grazed in the late morning and perfect for watching those beautiful sunrises and sunsets each day. There is also a hot tub to enjoy the cooler evenings in the fall. Just below the deck is a large firepit perfect for those crisp mountain nights making smores and more family memories.
Dogwood Hills guest house is a perfect place for a multigeneration family trip, ideal for a couple to relax, and a great place to take the kids to learn about farm life. The best part, Dogwood Hills only hosts one family at a time, so your farm adventure, guest house, and memories are your own. It was effortless for us to disconnect and enjoy each day’s adventure.
We truly felt at home and had a hard time leaving. It was as close to perfect as you can imagine and sparked an urge to move closer to mountains at home. We can’t wait to visit again, hopefully in the fall, to witness the changing of the leaves, the cool nightly breeze, and make new family memories around the campfire at night.

Looks like a fantastic place to stay! I really enjoy staying at places that are spacious and a little bit different from the normal hotel room!

This was nothing like a hotel in the best way possible. The kids had their side of the house and we had ours. It was perfect!

What a cute place! And it really isn’t very far from me. I could be there in about 4 hours! I’ve been hoping to explore Arkansas a little more since it’s a neighboring state. Maybe I can get that direction soon. That back deck looks amazing!

I hope you are able to visit. It was such a wonderful experience for us and the kids. The house, privacy, and land made the stay.

You will not be disappointed in the views. The property is at the top of the mountain so it makes the evening views.

Such a cute house but my favorite part is that back deck. Wow what a view!

I think we spent more time on the back deck than in the house.
