Hello! Welcome to The Gluten-Free Traveler. I am excited to share my family travels, delicious food, adventures, and travels tips with you. My family and I enjoy seeing what experiences we can discover and trying new adventures along the way. We also enjoy eating at local places while in new cities. One hurdle we would encounter was the lack of information on gluten-free places to eat while traveling. It would take hours, multiple phone calls, and online menu research to find one place that might offer gluten-free options. This blog is to help navigate the gluten-free life while being away from home and explore local places with less hassle. I hope you can discover a new favorite city, restaurant, or new adventure!

We have the same issue. My daughter has celiac and we have gotten used to dealing with it at home. But, traveling gives me anxiety for this same reason. We usually end up bringing a lot of stuff from home to “survive” the trip just in case we can’t find much for her to eat.

Hi Ginger,
Thank you for your comment and visiting our blog! I am very much familiar with “just surviving” during vacation. The stress of finding safe eating placing is almost not worth the trip sometimes. I hope you are able to find places here that will work for your daughter so she can start exploring more foods and you have more peace of mind outside of your home. I love trying new foods so I will share all my finds and I hope you will also!
